PTM Design specialise in manifestations for glass, in compliance with Document N (Access to and Use of Building) in the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
Glass entrance doors and partitions must be clearly defined with manifestation at two levels;
- 850mm to 1000mm (above the floor)
- 1400mm to 1600mm (above the floor)
They must contrast visually with the background and be visible through the glass from both sides, in all lighting conditions. Document N dictates when and where a window manifestation should appear, but not how it should appear.
We can offer a range of standard, off-the-shelf designs that include squares, dots and simple bands, often used in a frosted look film. Whilst these designs are a popular and cost-effective choice, our expertise in the design and application of fully bespoke solutions means that the only limit is your imagination.

Printed window films
With our imaging technology we are able to print any design onto a variety of window films, to enhance and improve the visual appearance of both internal and external glass. Being able to produce window graphics on opaque block-out films, translucent films, perforated one-way vision films or optically clear films, plus our ability to print white inks really does makes the possibilities endless.
Translucent and colour change window films
Playing with colour and light to vary the mood, complement colour schemes, connect spaces or differentiate areas can easily be achieved through the use of coloured window films. There is an extensive array of colours available, all of which can be cut to shape or integrated with print and other special effect films. Our range of Dichroic window films are particularly effective, creating shimmering, decorative colour shifting effects when applied to glass.
Sandblast, etched and frosted glass effects
As a cost-effective alternative to traditional sandblasted or etched glass, PTM offer a diverse selection of patterns and finishes, including the complete family of interior design films from the 3M™ Fasara™ Glass Finishes range. These window films are ideal for safety, creating privacy or reinforcing a corporate brand. They can be custom cut or produced as a direct print of your specific design.
